Posted in Network Marketing
With more and more people becoming unemployed currently, many are falling back on their skills and starting a business of their own from home. One type of home-based business that has seen a dramatic increase in numbers recently is the beauty therapist job, where trained therapists give treatments to clients in their home rather than in a spa. Lets take a better look at some important bits of advice if you’re setting out without much experience of working from home.
Building A Client Base. The number one hardest thing to do when you are working from home is creating contacts and getting a client base. If you have come from working for an organization you may have the luxury of being able to take a number of your clients with you who previously came in for treatments or for spa days. If you haven’t, you will need to advertise and get your name out there so that people can discover how good you are. A great way to do this is go to a shopping centre put up some advertising and offer people a free massage or pedicure for example. Make sure you hand them some promotional material or a contact number so that they can get hold of you when need their next treatment.
Offer Incentives. Tying in with the point raised above, a very good way to grow your client base is offer your current clients incentive to refer their friend and family. Promise them a skin care product of their choice if they refer a friend, or better yet a free treatment, as this really costs you nothing.
Sell Skin Care Products. A great way to supplement your income is to sell skin care products to your clients. It is always best to sell the products that are used in your treatments as these will be the ones your clients have experience of and the ones they trust to work. You can usually get deals from suppliers if you buy enough products from them and by placing a small mark up on the ones you sell, you can really boost your finances.
Are YOU being lied to? If you're in network marketing or MLM, the answer is probably YES.
